Join David Horgan, son of Helmi and author of the compelling book “Helmi’s Shadow,” as he shares the remarkable true story of two Russian Jewish refugees—a mother and her daughter (Helmi)—who endured decades of adversity in war-torn Asia (China and Japan) before crossing the Pacific at the end of WWII to make their home in Reno, Nevada.
