Pat Reynolds Ferraro Klos, a third‑generation Nevadan with family roots spanning seven northern counties, is a respected Reno‑based historian, writer, educator, and preservation advocate. A former teacher and librarian in several communities, she founded the Historic Reno Preservation Society after developing walking tours for her high school students highlighting structures important in Reno’s history, and those tours soon grew into public programs. She coauthored two books on Nevada’s historical bottles and later collaborated on the centennial history of Pershing County, further cementing her reputation as a devoted steward of Nevada’s heritage.
Pat Klos was interviewed by the Nevada Women’s History Project on June 17, 2025, in Reno, Nevada, through a grant from the Estelle J Kelsey Foundation.
